The Race

I run a race not knowing its distance
Yet
You sit in the front row among millions of people
Watch
You applause vividly upon my clumsy start
Smile
The race is full of obstacles eventually I fall
Down
I can see your eyes narrowing, disapproving, disbelieving
Me
But I raise, start running, crying and laughing
Again
My strength is tested together with my goal
Now
Shall I continue running? Shall I quit?
Wonder
Where are you love? Where are you hope?
Show
My body is tired, my mind puzzled
Still
But all I’ve learned and all I do is
Run
